Perfect, You'll Be Our TV Critic

What's that chill in the air? Oh, it's Emmy season again. Yay. ATAS will soon have the opportunity to once again prove that as stupid as Jack Valenti and the MPAA can be, some Hollywood associations are just, well, even more useless at times. Chicago Hope better than Homicide? Anyone? Anyone? What are you saying, Peter…the continued support of Will & Grace if nothing else proves that no one in the Academy has a clue what the word "good" means.

There will be plenty of time for my bitching come nomination time in late July, and again at the awards debacle in September. The TCA have an opportunity to honor shows first, with television critics today announcing their nominations for the July 17th award ceremony. Note the awesomeness of the selected nominations…these critics, they know what they're talking about. If only they would separate series and mini-series…the latter pays me no like.
